Nebula_DevLog_13 - Coming Demo Update v0.3.0


Hello Nebula Saviours,

There are coming few changes and few improvements in next Nebula Demo update 0.3.0. I hope that this week I will be able to upload it on Steam.

Players has already discovered couple of OP builds inside the game (big thanks to CG Plays) which could easy beat first two maps without major investment of gears in Hangar and that is OK, I like creative solutions, it is fun to watch small hacks like that. 

However for a full version it might become a bit boring not to feel a challenge so early in the game, therefore I decided to make few changes inside the Hangar and in the a game play.

Do not worry it will be still beatable but a bit more demanding.

Major changes in HANGAR:

  • Radar - I am planning to increase slightly price of radar improvement.
  • Main Weapon - here a price will go a bit higher as well since it is a main source of OP builds :). Full upgrade will still be reachable with a budget of w few successful runs but not so cheap anymore.
  • Scraps, Gears - price of this improvement will raise significantly.
  • General change is that reload time will be extended for most of the all weapons. Some of the weapons when maxed out il hangar and levels are becoming to strong. Besides there are going to be few hidden, stronger turrets that will balance this change in a full version.
  • All Lasers - reduce damage bonus, and projectiles number from hangar for this weapon.

Major changes in game play:

  • Radar Buff - Changed name from "Radar to "Magnet" +  I am planing to put a maximum distance on magnet, it will be  more than a map size  but not infinite :)  + small bugs fixed.
  •  Damage Buff  - reduce damage bonus from 30%/30%/30%  to 20%/20%/30%
  • Slow Enemies Buff - reduce bonus from 20%/20% to 15%/15%
  • Steal Energy Buff - Finally changed name for "Steal Health" - Chance to steal health on kill 2%/3%. 
  • Rotation Speed Buff - Change from 20/20 to 15/15.
  • Health Pick Up- Change from 2.5 to 2.0.

Minor changes and bug fixes:

  •     Short lag after Level Up widow closed -  finally will be fixed.
  •   Add visual effect indicating that larger enemies are loosing health. I decided to implement a "smoke" that will come from an enemy ship when they will lose health. Less Health = more smoke. But I will implement it only for a stronger enemies.
  •     Enemy projectiles - I will add glow outline around enemy projectiles to make it easier to distinguish them from other elements on the battlefield during mission.

I will try also to implement "info" window inside ESC panel with basic information on how the buffs works this will take a bit more time so I am not sure if it will appear in next patch.
